- We are working with a foreign European client building modern digital products used by thousands of customers globally. The engineering team operates with high autonomy, clear requirements, and a strong focus on code quality and long-term maintainability.
Role Overview
You will join a backend-focused team responsible for designing and improving scalable APIs, data pipelines, and internal services. The work involves both feature development and owning existing components, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI / Django / Flask).
- Design and implement REST APIs and integrate third-party services.
- Optimize database queries and ensure high application performance.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
- Write unit/integration tests and follow clean code principles.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to ship features end-to-end.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
- Strong Python fundamentals and experience with at least one major framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience with async Python, caching, queues, or background job processing.
- Familiarity with Docker and basic DevOps workflows.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of modules.
- Good English reading/writing skills; conversational level is enough for documentation and async communication.
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
